Root Canal

  • You may experience moderate pain and sensitivity a few days after a root canal treatment. The discomfort should subside gradually. Take prescribed medications for faster healing process.
  • Do not bite on the tooth while you are numb or for one hour after temporary filling has been placed. Until the permanent restoration is placed, be gentle with the tooth and try to chew on the opposite side.
  • Follow up with the placement of your permanent restoration as you have been advised. Any unnecessary delay in placement of final restoration may damage the tooth permanently.
  • Be sure to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would
  • Call us if you experience severe pain or swelling or uneven bite.
